What a special guest house. The house is huge and the gardens are special. The owner is super kind and friendly. He makes such a wonderful breakfast and truly cares about his guests. The welcome drink was so fresh too. Comfortable rooms and everything was clean. We recommend staying in Abu Simbel to see the sunrise and beat the crowds. Was a highlight of our trip. Good location, quick walk to town and to the Temple.

We have landed in the middle of the night and he organized transport and checked if we were ok. Hot water for shower was ready for us. There is AC but no heating, and our February night was a bit cold. Warm new blankets were provided, though it would be essential to put light sheet under the blankets that could be changed, too. Rooms were very clean but owner should try to clean the kitchen and dishes a bit better and improve bathroom (specially floors) if possible. Short walk to the Nubian Museum. Despite the surrounding area is quite unclean, with trash along the street, I felt safe walking alone and people were polite.

Location: near to high dam. Nice view from the top of the house. Host: Mohamed and Fahd are amazing hosts. Dry friendly people. Always a smile of the face. We checked-in at 01:00 am. Fahd helped us take all our luggage to apartment. He also served us the hot breakfast. Breakfast: highly recommended. Prepared by Fahd’s mother. Home made Amazing oriental breakfast in earthen pots. House: 4 big rooms with lots of beds. All beautifully designed. 2 bathrooms helped us get ready quickly in the morning.

Our arrival was seamless; Ahmed arranged our driver from the airport, we were met by his family at the public ferry and escorted to our house, which was basic but clean and comfortable. I can't say enough about how well Ahmed looked after us and helped to arrange activities. He even offered to help coordinate things in Luxor after we left Aswan. If you'd like to experience living in a traditional Nubian neighborhood, Nefertari House is the place to be! It's also conveniently located near the public ferry and the Aswan museum/archeological site.

After a few hiccups the shuttle boat found me at the dock and ferried to the site, in the dark by moonlight. I was shown to my room which was quite acceptable but then told I'd been upgraded and found myself in a large appartment which could easily sleep 6. Outside was a table and chairs and plenty of space to relax. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The next morning I was asked where I would like breakfast, apparently you can have it in the room, outside at your own seating area or as I did at the outside tables at the front of the property looking out over the Nile. They say breakfast should be a main meal of the day and this certainly was filling me up until dinner and it was delicious, very pleasantly surprised. As the name says this is a farm and that includes dogs, cats, horse, donkey and crocodiles (yes you did read that right). It didn't take me long to totally relax in the beautiful setting and realise I wanted to extend my stay. That night we asked to have a Nubian dinner and weren't disappointed, they certainly know how to feed you. There is a sand hill that you can climb at the back of the property and watch the beautiful sunset. Trips: we went by motorboat to the Nubian village for a wander and shop, a very pretty decorated place. On return we realised it is possible to walk there and we did walk part way along the river to a beach area and swam in the very cold Nile. I expressed that I liked going along the river and it was suggested would I like to go sailing. The sail boat was laid out with comfortable cushions, bottles of water and a tray of tea/coffee and breadsticks was provided. Sailing for approx 2.5 hours viewing the river bank and relaxing so tranquil. The staff were so accommodating all you had to do was ask if you wanted anything or wanted to visit somewhere and they would arrange it to your schedule. All in all I was very surprised by this place and have come home totally relaxed by my stay. Highly recommend.

The food was great. They operate like a bed and breakfast so the food was made to order and we were able to make customizations for allergies. The host was present and really helpful. The location is on the water with a view of the Nile and the Pillae Temple. The staff at the location was helpful and friendly. We walked around the neighborhood a bit and enjoyed being in Egypt. If you walk down the foot path back to the Pillae docks you are just a few minutes walk from that market. We were comfortable and safe.
