41 km from Plaza Mayor, Las Musas, Casa Rural is located in Hervás and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Communicating with Sandra while making the reservation and before arrival could not have been easier; received super-clear instructions to find and enter the building via WhatsApp; and the room, on the first-floor with two balcones overlooking the quiet pedestrian street, was simply fantastic: a really large, luxurious bed(s) with plenty of pillows and towels; a compact but comfortable bathroom that was impeccably clean and well-appointed, including toiletries; well-designed lighting and furniture; and a spacious public area, with fully fitted kitchen on the ground floor. A truly excellent experience and great value for money!

14 km from Roman City of Ammaia in Casiñas Bajas, Apartamentos Rurales la Campiña provides accommodation with access to a hot tub and public bath. The apartment we stayed in was awesome. It is big, with two floors, a fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, a downstairs and upstairs bathroom and a very comfy double bed. The highlight of our stay was a spa bath which worked perfectly, with plenty of hot water thanks to a huge boiler. Everything was clean and worked well. The apartment looks modern and cosy. The aircon worked really well and was quiet. Overall, the flat was gorgeous and we would stay again. The outside area is also nice, with lots of barbecues and seating area. The private car park is big. It is also a very quiet area with nice countryside. Apart from an occasional car passing by, you can only hear the lovely sounds of the countryside: donkeys, chickens, sheep... Plus we were staying off-season and we alone 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed so it was extra quiet. It was a relaxing stay.

Host is very helpful, readily available, and kind.

The house is equipped beyond anyone's needs. It is spacious, comfortable, ultra-clean, and quiet. We used it as a base camp for day excursions. Paqui, the host, is one of the best I have met in my many trips. She is attentive, and will go the extra mile to make the stay a great experience. A warm welcome is rare to find these days, where key boxes have become the norm, so Paqui was a true asset to our stay. Breakfast was full of local produce and bakery (with even the family olive oil), which made the experience authentic. Losar de la Vera may not be the most famous town in the area, but thanks to hosts like Paqui it will no doubt become a prominent lodging spot! People taking care of their business makes all the difference.
