The environment is a fantastic heritage site with buildings ranging from a 6th Century Chapel - the oldest standing building in Devon - to 16th Century, 18th Century buildings and lovely thatched cottages clustered around a charming courtyard.

The lodges were lovely, very quiet in the countryside with a great hot tub.

We had one of the front facing lodges, with Idyllic views over the countryside. Breakfast was great, tasty and plentiful.

Cottage was cosy and comfortable, loved the fireplace. Plenty of space for the family. Great location on Dartmoor with easy access to various tors and walks from the door.

A lovely cottage, sympathetically converted and comfortably furnished by the hosts, Kate and Ali. Perfect for a relaxing stay and ideally located with views across rolling countryside, but so convenient for Barnstaple and N.Devon attractions, beaches, etc. Always a pleasure to be greeted by the inquisitive alpacas next to the driveway and the curious calves in the field nextdoor!

We stayed in a cottage suite with a hot tub, room was beautifully presented light and airy. Hot tub in our cottage had lovely countryside views. Coach House Restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast along with an afternoon cocktail.
