It was like staying in a museum piece in its best sense. The staff are superb. Ridan and the rest of the team attended our every wish and always with a gracious and genuine smile. The food was excellent and we asked for it to be served on the verandah of our villa. Indonesian food is very sophisticated in its flavoring. Our drivers both from the airport and to Yogyakarta afterwards were efficient and helpful. A highlight was going up to Sinar Hill at 5.30am in the morning to the sunrise over the active volcano Merapi. Don't miss it. The sun rose directly over the volcano's peak when we were there. Coffee was brought to us. Afterwards we swam in their elegant pool then spent the morning in Borobudur temple complex in a VIP tour organized by the hotel. Another "don't miss it" experience. If you're coming to Indonesia, try to see Borobudur and definitely stay at Villa Borobudur Resort.
