Situated in Sligo and only 15 km from Parkes Castle, Drummonds House features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property was amazing! Gorgeous mountain views from the room. Well maintained gardens with horses grazing. John and Maeve were great, very friendly and helped with recommendations. Room itself was clean and comfortable. Washroom was a little tight but hey it’s Europe. Good selections of items for breakfast with homemade bread and cake.

Offering a garden and garden view, Teresa's Cottage is set in Kilcolgan, 23 km from Eyre Square and 23 km from Galway Railway Station. Wish we could have met Bill in person as very responsive and friendly on the phone. We were sorry we missed his visit and appreciated his nice note. The cottage was fully equipped and it was great to find scones awaiting us and some other sundries on a prettily laid table for breakfast the next day. Nice layout for two couples traveling together, even with a single bathroom. We enjoyed the fire and comfortable living area and well equipped kitchen. Had a fabulous dinner at the recommended Moran's. The country setting (including nearby donkeys!), with walks out the door, suited us and was centrally located to all we came for (such as the Cliffs of Moher by sea, the Burrens, St. Kilmacduagh, Leamaneh Castle, Ballyvaughan, Maumturk Mtns, the 12 Bens, Galway, Kylemore Abbey, Roundstone, Clifden). In wild and wooly weather, it was very good to head "home" to cozy lodgings.

Cosy Rooms in a Stone Cottage, a property with a garden, is set in Galway, 6.3 km from National University of Galway, 7.2 km from Eyre Square, as well as 7.3 km from Galway Railway Station. Ronnie was an absolutely fantastic host!! :) He helped with amazing recommendations all along the way, from food to activities and even the best places to park. He's lovely to chat with and just overall made us feel right at home. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the room was the perfect size for the two of us. We couldn't have hoped for a better stay. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet spot outside of the city but that's still close to Galway and easy access to so much of the beautiful Irish countryside.

Plumgrove Pod Easkey is set in Sligo, 38 km from Sligo Abbey, 38 km from Sligo County Museum, and 39 km from Knocknarea. Pristine accommodation. Spotlessly clean, immaculately constructed, very impressive. Care in detail with everything a guest would need. Highly recommended! Sandra provided fantastic suggestions for the area as featured in a very informative ensuite book. I indulged in the Kilkullen Seaweed baths 20 min away, incredible. Located in Rivers Town and only 21 km from Leitrim Design House, Lough Rynn-Lord Leitrim provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Was staying for the weekend and attending a wedding at the castle, easy walk to castle. Hosts were easily contactable for arranging checking in. They left welcome gifts of wine and chocolate in the house which was a lovely touch. Very clean loads of space in house lots of mirrors for getting ready for the wedding.

Wild Atlantic Stay Cottage is located in Galway, 23 km from National University of Galway, 23 km from Eyre Square, and 23 km from Galway Railway Station. Wow - what a great place to stay for three nights just outside of Galway! The owner, Jacqueline, could not have been anymore accommodating. She was so nice and even provided us w/ an extra gift for my 50th birthday. We arrived to a beautiful Irish oasis with a wonderful view and a welcome basket. Our family enjoyed the short walk to the sea and the amazing seascapes. I can’t say enough about this cottage, it’s charm and the owner’s hospitality. If you are looking for a traditional Ireland experience then this is the place for you!
