Many thanks to the guesthouse host who noticed that my tire was running low on air. Not only did they kindly help me inflate it, but also recommended a nearby repair shop, saving me from what could have been a serious problem. The guesthouse itself was very comfortable, and I truly appreciate the host’s thoughtfulness!

Its location was wonderful and a great base for us to explore the peninsula. We hope that when we go to Iceland in the future, we can stay here again. The house was so inviting and comfortable. The beds were incredible! We loved walking around Stykkishólmur; the walk up to the beacon was great and the view breathtaking. We even saw the Northern Lights while there. The host was extremely attentive and responded quickly to any questions we asked. What a find, this house in Stykkishólmur!

Property was on the way to Snaefellsjokull National Park fairly well situated for a first night stop after morning arrival in Reykjavik. No restaurants in immediate area, so either dine as you drive through Borgarnes or some place closer to the park. Beautiful views.
