Everything in the house is in pristine condition, tastefully designed, and every conceivable details taken care. It feels so cosy and homely. Comfortable room and soft bed, smart TV so new and provided relaxing music in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with new cooking utensils for us to cook up a great meal. The Aurora came with full glory at night, making our stay even more unforgettable. Thanks to Kuna and Por for the beautiful apartment. How we wish we could stay a few more days.

We did our shopping in Borgarnes, Bonus market, which is 50 km away if you are coming from Rejkjavik direction. Watch out because there is no closer market. We are only sorry that we were not able to see the aurora borealis due to the clouds. Excellent equipment of the house, warm and cozy, equiped with everything you need so that you don't have to worry about anything for a few days. Ideal for a family with two children, warm, very clean with all equipment and parking in front of the house. There are 3 other cottages next door, but you have enough peace and privacy. Check in/out at any time of the day, because the key is on the wall next to the entrance door with the code.

Set on a farm 8 km from Grundarfjördur, this modern guest house offers a 9-hole golf course, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. Snæfellsjökull National Park is 40 minutes’ drive away. Many thanks to the guesthouse host who noticed that my tire was running low on air. Not only did they kindly help me inflate it, but also recommended a nearby repair shop, saving me from what could have been a serious problem. The guesthouse itself was very comfortable, and I truly appreciate the host’s thoughtfulness!

Out of all the places we stayed in our 3 weeks away from home, this was our very favorite! Its location was wonderful and a great base for us to explore the peninsula. We hope that when we go to Iceland in the future, we can stay here again. The house was so inviting and comfortable. The beds were incredible! We loved walking around Stykkishólmur; the walk up to the beacon was great and the view breathtaking. We even saw the Northern Lights while there. The host was extremely attentive and responded quickly to any questions we asked. What a find, this house in Stykkishólmur!

The villa has a picnic area and a hot tub.... Property was on the way to Snaefellsjokull National Park fairly well situated for a first night stop after morning arrival in Reykjavik. No restaurants in immediate area, so either dine as you drive through Borgarnes or some place closer to the park. Beautiful views.
