Everything was just perfect: comfy sleep, super nice staff, free parking and the best breakfast during our 18 days traveling in Italy. Thanks a lot. Location: close to Matera, but a car is needed. As we travelled during the low season, we paid a little (in comparison with July-August in Italy). Le 2 Gravine nei Sassi is situated in the Sassi di Matera district of Matera, 400 metres from Casa Grotta nei Sassi, less than 1 km from Matera Cathedral and a 11-minute walk from MUSMA Museum. The apt was very unique. When we first arrived we were a little concerned of the street, other places seemed to need work. After opening the wooden door to ur place we were very pleasantly surprised. Great apt in the rocks. Right near by there is a little alley with amazing views of the old city , quite a surprise to discover it Parking was a little walk away and limited but we did not need our car so left it parked the whole time we were there.
