We booked this property with 1 hours notice because our original accommodation cancelled our booking last minute. Hong was an incredibly gracious host, accommodating a series of panicked phone calls from us as we tried to avoid sleeping at the station for the evening. He was so incredibly helpful and patient! About the property: The property is centrally located, just behind La Spezia Centrale station (literally a 2 minute walk, with only a slight incline for 10 metres). This location means it’s close enough to the centre of the town for easy access to the port (which includes the ferry to the iconic Cinque Terre), the market and plenty of restaurants, but tucked away in a quiet area so it doesn’t feel like you’re fighting the crowds. The house is extremely spacious, with very comfortable beds in 3 bedrooms. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious as well. The property has a quaint courtyard, perfect for a quiet morning coffee while enjoying the view of the houses up the hill. The house is perfect for groups, and I’d imagine especially so for those travelling with young children as it’s nicely enclosed. The location makes it easy for day trips to Cinque Terre and surrounding areas, without needing to skimp on comfort.

Cozy and spacious apartment. It was a bit chilly weather in the evening when we came, but we found warm and cozy apartment with the modern automated furnace turn on for heating in the main room. Apartment is clean and renovated, with some authentic countryside interior and decors. Big shower, cozy bath place, kitchenette for some some meal preparation, also there are left coffee/tea and some snacks/drinks for light breakfast. Country side views and calm place. Host is nice and fast communicating.

Delicious breakfast. Wonderful views of the valley, hills, and mountains. Fell in love with the beautiful cabannina cows. When going up, prepare for the rough uphill dirt road. A perfect retreat in the hills. Lovely host family does its best for guests to feel welcome. At the end of a week, they also prepare 4-course dinners with local dishes and flavors. Amazing place in the green surroundings to calm down. Rooms were clean, bright and well-maintained.

Providenciando vista da montanha em Villatella, Agriturismo Vecchio Frantoio dispõe de acomodações, um terraço, um restaurante e um bar. Liked everything. The owner had thought of everything - and beyond. We were travelling with a toddler and 2 cats. Not only was there a proper cot but with kid's sheets and towel; there was a cat litter box and bowls for water and food so we didn't have to unpack all our own stuff. Menu is restricted as owner cooks all food fresh but there are choices - apple fritters were wonderful!
