It’s a very nice place right in front of seaside for a homestay, clean and cozy for 10 people max. A big enough kitchen to do self cook. Owner is a friendly lady warm and caring, a reasonable price for family or friends travel together aside of choosing to stay in a hotel.

In addition, communication with the host was excellent, with very quick responses to our questions. If I return to Kyoto, I will certainly stay here again.

Rinn Shiki Juraku provides accommodation located 1.7 km from the centre of Kyoto and offers a bar and a shared lounge. The Rinn was a beautifully appointed wooden one storey house with our bedroom upstairs and lounge, kitchen and bathroom downstairs. The bed was excellent and very comfortable, the location excellent as we walked to Kyotos Imperial Palace and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly return!

Located in Ine, 16 km from Manai Shrine and 16 km from Motoise Kono Shrine, 舟宿 壱 provides sea views and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 17 km from Daijyouji Temple. Location is everything with this property, which is a beautifully renovated funaya right on the water in Ine fishing village. It's self catering accommodation and we hadn't made any reservations at the small number of local restaurants. However, we found a lovely place right across the road from our house. Our room overlooked the water and despite the wet weather the views were amazing. Our host also arranged a private boat tour of the bay for us, which picked us up from our own jetty! A magical stay. Highly recommend.

Guest house Daikoku - Vacation STAY 97010v is set in the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, 1.2 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto, 1.4 km from Gion Shijo Station and 1.5 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference... Very clean, comfortable, pleasant two bedrooms apartment with modern quality appliances. Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful host.

Perfect location as we were only in Kyoto for 3 nights, the house was only 5 minutes walk from Kyoto station. Easy to wheel our bags to, very convenient to get to metro and suburban train lines for sightseeing and for arriving and leaving from Kyoto by Shinkansen. A charming, traditional style house that was a nice contrast to the very modern apt we stayed at in Tokyo. We loved the large sleeping room upstairs, tatami mats covering the floor, with 3 very comfortable, firm mattresses with duvets on the tatami mats. The bedroom is accessed by a very steep staircase, but there is a very strong wall rail and we had no problems, as we're all pretty lithe and fit. Also, sleeping at the floor level was not a problem for us. Beautiful decorated in the traditional manner. AC on both floors. Bathroom was small but adequate, and we loved the tiny enclosed garden out the back. The kitchen facilities were great and we loved the large wooden dining table and chairs. Communication with the owner was easy, responsive and friendly. They did us a nice courtesy letting us leave our bags in the small laundry area after checkout time as our train didn't leave till 4 hours later. I highly recommend.
