Zenji is a beautiful, cosy and authentic lodging. It has a great atmosphere and the area is really nice to wander about. We had everything we needed. Nao is also very helpful.

Absolutely loved the character and charm of the hotel, the facilities, the lounge area for breakfast/evening drinks, ease of use of the washer/dryer that was there. The hotel was in a quiet residential section of Kyoto, yet access to Nijo Castle, the Imperial Palace and downtown Kyoto was very easy and within a 15 minute walk. Access to the train stations and Uber/Taxi's were equally easy. Amazing local restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel - highly recommend Daigan around the corner for an amazing sushi with an engaging/entertaining/welcoming chef.

Located in Ine, 16 km from Manai Shrine and 16 km from Motoise Kono Shrine, 舟宿 壱 provides sea views and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 17 km from Daijyouji Temple. Location is everything with this property, which is a beautifully renovated funaya right on the water in Ine fishing village. It's self catering accommodation and we hadn't made any reservations at the small number of local restaurants. However, we found a lovely place right across the road from our house. Our room overlooked the water and despite the wet weather the views were amazing. Our host also arranged a private boat tour of the bay for us, which picked us up from our own jetty! A magical stay. Highly recommend.

Situated in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Nijo Castle and 500 metres from the centre, 谷町君 星屋 神泉ノ宿 二条城 features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. They were able to hold our luggages for a few hours after check out. When we got back to pickup, they offered us some bottles of water. The day was hot and it was very much appreciated.

Guest house Daikoku - Vacation STAY 97010v is set in the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, 1.2 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto, 1.4 km from Gion Shijo Station and 1.5 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference... The place was very conveniently located, within walking distance to Nishiki market and Metro stop. It was a large comfortable space for a family of four to stretch out and have as our home base to travel and explore Kyoto, so much better option than small hotel room. The host was so kind, and used google translate to help explain everything in the house. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very spacious. We ate out, so did not use the kitchen, but everything was available to cook yourself.
