The funaya (traditional boathouse) is lovely, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the traditional futon beds and the kotatsu table, which made the experience feel authentic and cozy. The boat garage by the sea is truly special. One of the most beautiful moments of our stay was when a boat stopped right by the funaya to pick us up for a ride around the bay — such a unique and unforgettable experience. The hostess was incredibly friendly and helpful, making everything easy and pleasant for us. A perfect place for a short stay in Ine — highly recommended!

The place was very conveniently located, within walking distance to Nishiki market and Metro stop. It was a large comfortable space for a family of four to stretch out and have as our home base to travel and explore Kyoto, so much better option than small hotel room. The host was so kind, and used google translate to help explain everything in the house. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very spacious. We ate out, so did not use the kitchen, but everything was available to cook yourself.
