We stayed at Ttunu House in January 2025, and it was simply incredible! The house is beautiful, lovingly restored, and tastefully furnished. There is truly not a single thing to complain about! The Ttunu House team—Cornelius, Stephen, and Jackson—did everything to make our stay perfect and unforgettable. Stephen cooks whatever guests desire, with only the cost of groceries charged, while the service itself is included. Upon request, we had the best tuna steaks of our lives, served with grilled vegetables and Kachumbari (a Kenyan tomato salad). For those looking for an extraordinary vacation far from tourist hotspots but without sacrificing luxury, Ttunu House is the perfect choice! We would love to come back.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, mountain view and a terrace, Milimani Villa-Fully airconditioned Villa is set in Shela. The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

Incredible space with even better people. First, even before we arrived, communication with the host (Tarik) was impeccable. We always felt we were in good hands and that rang true from the moment we arrived especially with the housekeeper Farid who was absolutely excellent and was on top of every need we might have. I should take a moment also to say that the space itself is STUNNING. Absolutely gorgeous with many, many beautiful details. Truly a hidden gem of Lamu.

Authentic Swahili style villa Milele House features a balcony and is situated in Lamu, within just 300 metres of Gallery Baraka and 400 metres of Lamu Museum. The house was majestic. Upon entrance it was like stepping into an oasis from the narrow, but cozy streets of Lamu Town. The architecture was stunning and its aesthetics and functionality impressive. As the house is glass and roof free the natural ventilation was a constant fresh and cool breeze in 30 degrees celsius weather. The house help Jamuhuri had the kindest soul. Everything felt safe and it always felt like coming home because he was there. The house was always clean and Jamuhuri was always ready to help with anything we needed. Asante sana!

You can see the passion of Alexandra about Lamu and about this historical building! It is perfect for a big group, and it's also amazing to work from there. I liked everything of the place, so relaxing and such a relaxed atmosphere!
