The icing on the cake were great, insightful conversations with Mr Lee, about the Korean peninsula, food, travel, healthy lifestyle and life in general. Great recommendations about cost-effective travel to and from Seoul, ski rentals and more. Refreshing break from the usual hotels, into true, Korean family-style living. Spacious rooms, fantastic views, and especially loved the comfortable beds. Highly recommend it, if you are planning a getaway around Vivaldi Park. Thank you Mr and Mrs Lee!

Set in Sokcho and only 2.1 km from Mulchi Beach, Casa Seorak Bed and Breakfast offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Location was a short 15min drive to the Seoraksan National Park, very convenient if you are driving. Apart from the food recommendations by the host, there is also a nice bakery cafe Seoraksanro nearby. The room was big enough to accommodate 2 adults and 5 kids (ages 2, 6, 9). Host also provided a high chair for my baby. The family suite had a 2nd floor but we didn't use it, mainly to protect the kids. The jacuzzi worked well and was a treat after a long day out. Host was very kind and helpful, made us feel very comfortable. My kids looked forward to his simple yet wonderfully prepared breakfast everyday.

Set in Chuncheon, Golden Stay is a recently renovated accommodation, less than 1 km from Chunghon Geulin Park and 2.4 km from Kangwon National University Chunchoen campus. Great apartment with lots of space to sleep for 5 people. Well equipped kitchen, washing machine. They arranged a parking place in front of the entrance on the street. We could store our luggage earlier than check- in Time. Really convinient.

This is the perfect location for doing a hike on 오대산 mountain. The bus goes from this place to the temple where the hike begins from. There is also a bus to Jinbu the closet town with a supermarket but buses do not run at night. It was clean and had a common kitchen for cooking. Although there are no chairs and table in the room they had a front veranda area where you can sit with power as well.

Gilson Story Pension, a property with a garden, is situated in Pyeongchang, 5.3 km from Phoenix Country Club, 7.5 km from Lee Hyoseok Memorial Hall, as well as 7.6 km from Heungjeong Valley. The host was so welcoming and helpful! We felt so at home here.

Set within 500 metres of Gyoam-ri Beach and 15 km of Seorak Waterpia, Seaside Pension offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Goseong. It was extremely clean! The owners are a family and very accommodating. the location was fantastic. The toiletries were brand name, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, hand soap, face products and others. The kitchen was fully stocked. Anything extra that we needed, the owners supplied. The property offered lots of beach equipment to rent for a cheap price. They also had various grills, which the owners set up and cleaned up. Great for families, couples, solo and group travelers.

Situated in Yangyang, within 500 metres of Naksan Beach and 6.3 km of Daepo Port, Naksanstay features accommodation with a terrace as well as free private parking for guests who drive. As soon as I walked into the room I felt so comfortable and at home. The room looked adorable, it was spotlessly clean, and had everything you would need for a longer stay. Sadly I was only there one night, but I would return without hesitation if I’m ever in the area again. The location is perfect, so close to the beach, temple, a bus stop and convenience stores.
