The place is very beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with a stunning view. The service was very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Plus, it’s close to restaurants and shops. I really enjoyed staying there.

You’ll get more of what you see in the pictures. The level of service is outstanding. Consider that to reach the place you need to call them to send you a tuktuk because the roads are a bit bumpy and cars cannot reach easily. The food was amazing and generous. The bedroom tidy and with AC. The best part is they welcome you with cold towels and watermelon juice.

Boasting mountain views, Pearl's Homestay Matale features accommodation with balcony, around 27 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall. When my driver edged up the narrow-inclined driveway of this very modern home, I didn’t know what to expect. But Pearle and her husband Ranjan greeted me with broad smiles and open arms. After they had retired, they built this sophisticated home on their family’s property. Since the terrain of Matale is mostly mountainous, their home is perched up high on a small hill, allowing a beautiful view of the city from their wide terrace. Communication was swift and efficient as their daughter fielded email questions from the UK. English was spoken perfectly by all members of the family, so no worries for any miscommunication. I had arrived in the late afternoon and Pearle offered me tea. Ranjan returned with some short eats and we sat around chatting. The conversation was easy and I felt like I was visiting good friends for the afternoon. My room was located just off their living room with an adjacent bathroom with contemporary fixtures – it felt like I was in a fancy hotel! The stylish room with extremely high ceilings was spacious and tastefully decorated with an enormous mosquito net tied with ribbons around the large four poster bed. There is a portable air conditioner/fan which was not really needed as the evenings are usually cool and temperate. Breakfast was a luxurious feast with red rice string hoppers, potato curry, dal, green gram and a delicious, spicy chicken curry. Watermelon, pineapple, and sweet juicy papaya from their garden rounded out the meal. After retirement, Pearle turned her interests to cooking and she is certainly an accomplished cook! My only regret was staying only one night and will certainly come back for a longer visit!

Situated near Pidurangala Rock and Sigiriya Museum, Roo Mansala Boutique Villas is in Sigiriya and features free private parking and a restaurant. Amazing, serene place. Would love to go back there. The rooms were truly beautiful, amazing swimming pool and delicious food. Staff super helpful and very kind.

Situated within 1.8 km of Sigiriya Rock and 5 km of Pidurangala Rock in Sigiriya, Harini Villa provides accommodation with seating area. The host is just great. We were picked up from airport and then also traveled to several places (Dambulla etc.) including our next stop in kandy with the host for reasonable price with kindness to stop for food and coconut. Would definitely recommend that!! The breakfast ist just amazing and location is close to some good restaurants with local food. Within a short walking distance you get to see the lions rock and can enjoy Drinks and food with view. All in all, would really recommend!

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Hotel Hideaway Garage is a recently renovated villa located in Dambulla, 19 km from Sigiriya Rock. Guests staying at this villa have access to a terrace. Bandata was an amazing host! He helped us through the whole vacation. Couldn’t ask for anything more :)
