A lovely experience of staying in a real azorean home. Owners are a family of local people, who live there all their life (now in a house next to the rental one), they have a fantastic garden where you can enjoy beautiful plants and flowers (even kiwi and dragon fruit) and also different animals - goats, cows, chicken. If you love animals, the host can take you to feed them :)) I do, so I spent very nice time with all of them) and then in the fridge you will have fresh eggs from these chicken)). I also received as a present a nice collection of succulents :)))))) it will be a really good memory of our trip and these wonderful people. The house itself is very cozy , with nice decoration, convenient - you will find everything you need - equipped kitchen, hairdryer, good hot shower, comfortable beds, aircon in the basement bedroom , fans in the upper bedrooms, good wifi. A good set of products was prepared for our breakfast too. Parking is just next to property. The location is very convenient - 10 min to Horta with it's ferry terminal, restaurants and shops and 2 min to airport (no disturbing sound of planes though, as the air traffic is very low).

Gelegen in Cedros, in der Region Faial, bietet die Unterkunft CASITA DA DOCTORA einen Balkon und Meerblick. Sehr gut. Wir waren mit unserem Sohn (7 Jahre) und unserer Tochter (1.5 Jahre) dort. Gerade für Familien mit kleinen Kindern ist das Haus super ausgestattet (Hochstuhl, Kindergeschirr, Waschmaschine…). Die knapp 30 Autominuten von Horta entfernte Lage war für uns perfekt. Von der Gastgeberin haben wir viele wertvolle Tipps zu Aktivitäten, Restaurants und Einkausmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung erhalten. Für grössere Lebensmitteleinkäufe empfiehlt sich Horta. Das Sortiment in den nahe gelegenen Minimärkten ist begrenzt. Ausserhalb von Horta werden meist Barzahlung oder portugiesische Bankkarten bevorzugt. Die ATM in Cedros und Capelo funktionieren nicht zuverlässig.

A peaceful place, just us and the ocean, the beach right next door, a few restaurants nearby, beautiful views. The cottage is very comfortable, fully equipped, and the host is very friendly. We highly recommend it.
