If you’re travelling the Route Napoleon by car from Grasse to Lyon like we were, this hotel makes a perfect half way stop. Not really near anything but next to a Brewpub that fortunately for us, being a Friday, had a great atmosphere and a live band. Room was entirely as expected with nothing whatsoever to complain about. Did not have the time to use the spa facilities and didn’t use the property for either dinner and breakfast as we prefer to go and explore the surroundings.

Hotel de la Placette is located in the Old Town of Barcelonnette, 2.5 km from Mercantour National Park. It offers modern rooms and free WiFi access.

My second stay here, great location with parking garage for motorcycle.

Very nice location and friendly staff. Excellent dinner and brakfast on the location, although a bit expensive.

Located at the foot of the ski slopes in Pra-Loup ski resort, Marmotel is only a 20-minute drive from Barcelonnette.
