The Gregory

Queens Quarter, Belfast

In south Belfast, The Gregory boutique accommodation lies just off the busy Lisburn Road. It offers elegant en suite rooms, free parking and WiFi and a range of cooked breakfasts.

Each room has a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, seating area and tea and coffee facilities. All have an en suite shower with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. The Gregory is located outside Belfast City Centre but access to the city by public bus lines was only a short walk away from the hotel. This made city sightseeing, our only goal, easy to do without the need for our own car. Magda, one of the staff members, took special care of us, providing clear and precise instructions on how to access the public transit and also made recommendations for local restaurants and sights to see.

Tara Lodge

Queens Quarter, Belfast

Located in the bohemian Queen’s Quarter of Belfast, a mere 10-minute walk from the city centre, Tara Lodge offers stylish, modern bedrooms with warm and genuine hospitality.

On offer is free secure on-site car parking and the fabulous location means you will be just a few minutes’ walk from many restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. There is no bar or restaurant on-site, but in Belfast a good time – or rather ‘the craic’, as the locals call it – is never far away. After our stay at Tara Lodge I was so pleased that I had booked this property for our two nights in Belfast. The staff are amazing - so warm, friendly and genuine. The staff couldn’t help us enough and each person went out of their way to assist. Lovely Niamh got out us of a pickle one morning when our black taxi tour was incorrectly booked (By the tour company - Not Tara Lodge). She had us on another tour within ten minutes which was amazing, to say the least - she is a magician! Colin who helped us with our breakfast each morning was a delight - he couldn’t have given us better service, his assistance was world class! The breakfast consists of a selection of buffet items like cereal, fruit, pastries plus a cook to order menu for hot items. It is perfect and far exceeded our expectations - way better than an overstocked manic full buffet with half cold food items. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and delicious! Our room and ensuite were spacious and modern with double glazed windows and heating. The ensuite had a wonderful shower with hot water and a great shower head (awesome after a long day walking the city). The location is so central - we walked everywhere in the city from Tara Lodge. City Hall, St Georges Market, Botanical Gardens, Ulster Museum, shopping, cafes, restaurants, pubs - you name it! Parking was easy and onsite - we didn’t move the car once as the location was so handy for walking. If you are considering Belfast hotels I would highly recommend Tara Lodge and will certainly stay here again if we return to Belfast. We stayed in some 5 star hotels whilst in Ireland and Tara Lodge beat them in terms of service and value for money. HIt the book now button - you won’t be disappointed.

Harpers

Queens Quarter, Belfast

In a Victorian townhouse, the elegant Harpers Boutique B&B is found on University Street in Belfast’s Queens quarter. Around 1 mile from the city centre, it retains impressive original features and now provides free WiFi. We were surprised at just how comfortable and pleasant our room at Harper's was. The breakfast was excellent, and there was generally a very pleasant and cozy feeling to the place. It's very close to a university and restaurants and only about a 30 minute or so walk to downtown (there are also buses and a nearby train station).
