Such a beautiful property, loved the open air corridors. The room, the pool, the restaurants, all amazing. I felt like I was living in a White Lotus resort.

A place of tranquility in the middle of Ubud. Amazing, helpful, thoughtful staff. Reception has kindly agreed to send my postcards. Room service was lighting every evening anti mosquito candles on the terrace. Were closing curtains and mosquito net around the bed. The territory is very green. Spacious wooden villas in traditional are clean, well equipped, great terrace. Comfortable beds. Breakfast is very tasty a la cart. Wed jazz evenings are delightful, you can order songs. Food is delicious. Pool is made of stone, surrounded by jungles beautiful and not crowded. Hotel is located close to Ubud art market and lots of restaurants.

From the pics I didn’t realize how big the place is… it’s quite massive. Beautiful resort, full of nature all around. There’s a gym also, not emphasized in pics. It’s quiet. Pool is awesome. Breakfast is perfect. Price is fair!

Very good location, near to Monkey Forest. Lots of good places to eat and shop around. The garden is magical at night, rooms are away from busy street.

A true hidden gem. We booked at Mathis after a change of plans brought us to Ubud earlier that planned and it's probably the best decision we made about our trip. Firstly, the location is peaceful and easy enough to get to, a short scooter/taxi north of central Ubud town. It's located looking out onto rice fields and is beautifully designed with a decent swimming room and covered dining area. The bungalow we stayed in was immaculately clean, huge and with elegant interior decor. The food at the restaurant was great quality, cocktails reasonably priced and there's a brilliant selection of activities including a BBQ and acoustic music evening, feeding the ducks (who were an absolute charm to just observe in their duck house and pond) and more. We had a massage at the spa which was also good. And there's a yoga studio at the far end of the first rice field. The price was also very reasonable for the quality, but definitely one of the most stand-out factors was the lovely people hosting us. Every member of staff was so genuinely friendly, welcoming and kind. From the beginning, we just felt very well cared for. They recommended a local temple ceremony happening one night and told us what we needed to wear. We were almost the only westerners there observing a beautiful ceremony including music, dance and costumes which felt like the whole town attended. Magical. We will be recommending Mathis to everyone we talk to about our time in Bali and are very happy to recommend it more generally. Thanks to Bintang and all the staff for a truly memorable and beautiful experience.

A beautiful hotel, with a free shuttle into Ubud. We had breakfast and evening meal options and the food was fabulous. Very comfortable room and bed, with a gorgeous boutique bathroom. We stayed for 6 days and loved every minute. Staff so helpful and friendly.

Super location. Peaceful and quiet and close to city center. Both of best worlds. Amazing garden, nice staff and super massages.

The hotel location is excellent right downtown Ubud. No noise from street. Staffs are the best, all very efficient, sincerely caring and helpful. The food is excellent we ordered room service and was delicious.

Amazing stuff, very clean room, very good holiday

There is a lot of private space . I was surprised how quiet the place is - even the occasional monkey family . High quality . Absolutely no mold in the rooms ..For a wet area , This place is especially great for those that are sensitive I stayed there during the silent day , and felt very comfortable and the staff went out of their way to be accommodating. .

The Staff were super nice and friendly, addressed the questions spontaneously and immediately! They provide afternoon tea everyday, contain Balinese food and drink, also the amazing breakfast served as a la carte for main dish which could order in the room! They had a morning yoga class in a beautiful Shala, taking care of my body and mind. Regarding environment, most of resort located in the wood, I love the atmosphere could immerse myself in the hotel, bring calmness and cozying The room included living room, kitchen and fitting room! Quite spacious for 3 people

It is a beautiful and peaceful place, just a 5 minute walk from Ubud center. It had just 6 rooms, but a lot of super friendly staff. You can ask everything and they help with everything. You can free pick up and drop off at Ubud center between 10am en 10.30pm, which is amazing service. The room is quite big and (looks) new and it gets cleaned thoroughly everyday by housekeeping. Doors close very good so no insects in te room. You get a electric anti-mosquito thing on your room and they have some kind of candle thing for your balcony to keep the mosquitoes away. It works really well, we didn’t see any! Would add more amazing pictures, if it would be possible. Concluding, amazing place, highly recommended!!
