I absolutely loved Murataya from the Japanese breakfast to my cosy room, the wonderful onsen and the ever so helpful hosts. The location is spot on too. who cares that the toilets and showers are not en suite … the kind of people who appreciate authenticity and heritage will be happy to trade those for a lovely onsen and the house and facilities are immaculate clean. if I ever come back to Kanazawa I would definitely book again and recommend very highly. there is an AMAZING sushi place 2 mins walk away Ippei don’t miss it! freshest sushi you will ever eat!
