Open from December 2015, Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International is situated within a 1-minute walk from Tsukuba Express Asakusa Station. The property features a 24-hour front desk and offers free WiFi access in all areas. The breakfast exceeded my expectations, so many food choices and the best scrambled eggs I've ever had! Very nice fresh juices too. A very nice touch that came with the room was a free phone with internet that you can take outside with you to do your browsing. If you opt to not have your room cleaned you get a voucher to exchange on the reception desk - either for club points or a card that you can use elsewhere, i.e. in 7/11. Loved that too. The room was relatively small, but reasonable size for Japanese standards. It is only a 5 minute walk to Senso-ji temple, great location for that. Oh yes, you also get a free welcome drink (it's not a huge choice, mostly tea or coffee).

The hotel is within walking distance to various train stations, including Akabanebashi Subway Station, a 2-minute walk, and JR Hamamatsucho Train Station, a 12-minute walk away. The room and bathroom were exceptionally luxurious and had a lovely view by both night and day. We had a room that overlooked the Roppongi Hills and the Tokyo Tower. The breakfast buffet on the 33rd floor was a treat. The staff went out of their way to help and assist. The lady at the coincerge gave us excellent tips for sight-seeing.
Chuo Ward, Tokyo
Offering modern rooms with free WiFi and wired internet access, Ryumeikan Tokyo features a restaurant with panoramic city views. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Station.
The sound-proof rooms feature 2 pillow types and extra-long beds. They have a flat-screen TV, an air purification/humidifier, and a computer can be rented for in-room use. Free toiletries, slippers and a hairdryer are provided.
most especially... the convenience of its location and the consideration of staff. They make an effort to go the extra mile without you even asking. We travelled with an infant and they had an infant bag of goodies inc slippers & deodorized plastic bags for soiled nappies. The next day, after making up our room, they provided a bucket for nappy waste instead as the plastic bags that were given were not enough for our baby's needs 😂
Minato, Tokyo
Featuring a rooftop garden and lounge, Hotel The Celestine Tokyo Shiba is located just a 3-minute walk from Mita Subway Station. It is within a 15-minute subway ride from popular areas like Ginza and Roppongi. The elegant rooms offer city views, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. I read the most recent reviews of this property before we booked it. It was pretty much like others have said. Hotel has an exceptional lobby. Breakfast was excellent too - you can get the hot meals, Japanese soups and condiments, continental meals, a selection of pastries. We got a twin room which was well-decorated but as others pointed out there wasn't much room to hang clothes or to store things so we pretty much used the table that ran along the side of the room, and the couch that ran along the window sill to store things. It wasn't a big deal though. We had two beds though so we had lots of sleeping space. The TV channels are all Japanese except part way through the day one of the CNN channels comes on in English. Wifi is free though and fast and so you can watch movies on your phone. The room is really clean. The staff do an excellent job. Even all the supplies they give you in the bathroom are so generous, there is everything from comb, brush, toothbrush, makeup remover, body scrub, bath salts etc. You also get 2 free bottles of water everyday without fail. The beds are very comfortable. We used the gym and it opens at 6am. It's only a small gym and only has a few things. We had to get there early to get on the equipment we liked. The lounge area at level 14 is great - there is a lady there who tidies up and refills the juice, and water etc. If you forgot something, there is a 7 Eleven inside the building, it is opposite the breakfast restaurant. And then across the road from the 7 Eleven but at the corner is a Lawson's shop. The Tokyo Tower is within walking distance to this hotel. Just walk along the road on the side where the main drop off entrance is. You will come to a park and a temple then you can walk through it to get to the Tower. What I found really helpful is the Sightseeing button on the TV onscreen menu. It shows you which train station to go to as there are like 3 or maybe more train stations in close vicinity.

Greets you with the nice scent of ylang ylang and a refreshingly hip interior design. Attentive staff. Lovely set menu breakfast with Muslim-friendly selection. Google Maps in the provided smartphone was very useful for navigation. Having 7 Eleven next to the hotel was really convenient.
Originally booked economy double, but they upgraded us to luxury designer because I mentioned it was our anniversary! Super hospitable, reception staff were great and the room was fantastic! Amazing amenities as expected from Japanese hotels. The room was so spacious. Wi-Fi was fast, TV had CNN and the speakers were great. Highly recommend Granbell!
It was great to be able to take a big bath in this type of boutique hotel. The room has an amazing interior that make it feels spacious. Compact and efficiently design. There is welcome free coffee service at the entrance. We were satisfied with everything!
The hotel has a lot of personality. It is very charming; like staying in a boutique hotel in Europe. The bathroom was newly redone, with nice tiles and old-style fixtures that fit the design theme. The room was smaller than expected, but reasonable for the cost and location. The location was fantastic; very close to stores and restaurants.
At first we were impressed by the modern interior design and the friendly staff untill we notice many small issues that say otherwise. This is a nice and modern budget hotel that has no soul. The location was near the train station and there are many restrauant around this place. This is a hip neighbourhood with many imrpessive architecture designs for the buildings. The breakfast was simple and is served at the reception counter. Mostly microwave food, noting much to eat and always lack of seats.
Everything I needed is in the room. Decent size and super clean! The toiletries looked classy considering it's a budget hotel. I liked the well considered design including making sure a part of mirror stays clear after bathing! They also provide hair bands for ladies in different lovely colors. :p
This boutique hotel is amazing. The rooms were so cool - urban chic meets hipster, double height floor to viewing windows. I loved the design aesthetic. The restaurant was yumminess incarnate and oh so trendy. I loved the banana muffin with caramelized bananas and banana cream. Drool-worthy. The location behind Cat Street right between Harajuku and Ometesando makes it great for exploring on foot.
