We were very satisfied with this hotel. The surrounding area is stunning, breakfast has many healthy options, the town is quiet at night but we found two very tasty restaurants nearby. The house is spotless clean, Teresa is a very polite and helpful caretaker.

Our stay at this working vineyard and home stay honestly absolutely made our Douro Valley experience wonderful! Situated on one of the highest spots in the region, the breathtaking views from this 300 year old stay were complimented by the warm and friendly welcome we received from owner and host, Miguel. After a port wine on arrival and introduction, he showed us to our room on the top floor. The views of the valley down to Pinhao are simply stunning, the room, spacious and comfortable. Later Miguel provides a devious local dinner, with paired wine and attentive service. The set up involves all the guests (no more than about 10 max) eating together and sharing a lovely evening ending with more wine and port and Miguel on hand to share many insights of the region and the history of his vineyard. After a comfortable night, it’s a hearty breakfast getting you set for your day. I would recommend this stay for anyone considering Douro Valley. Miguel will make sure your stay is memorable and the low cost in no way reflects the high standard of the experience!

This is such a nice hotel in a beautiful location close to Pinhao (walking distance). The view over Douro river is breathtaking and the different facilities so nicely renovated. The breakfast one of the best I have ever had and the dinner restaurant served super good food - no need to eat in the village. Stay at the hotel and enjoy the facility, the view and the great food. Of course the wines are excellent and also - to our surprise - the beer.

OMG, the best fine dining ever. Chef Joao Santos is an artist. Wow, you HAVE to enjoy dinner at the hotel, the best, even for me as a vegetarian, he was able to enchant me with great meals. We had an upgrade, room with balcony facing the douro river, it was great. close to everything you want to do in Pinhao. And you get a wake up call by all the birds singing in the trees and forrests surrounding you. Do not forget your binoculars.
