Tento historický hotel byl postaven v roce 1890 a byl jedním z prvních hotelů v Lauterbrunnenu. First of all, the view was stunning. We've booked the waterfall view room and it was all worth it. As I've peeked in another non-Waterfall view room, the view therr was also very fabulous The room was very spacious and clean. The mattress was great. There was a lounge which serves you tea and coffee, and a picnic room with shared fridge, eating utensils, microwave and a water kettle where you can boil some water for drinking. It came in handy, especially we weren't in a mood for eating out every meal. The breakfast was delicious as well. It might not be a breakfast buffet with the most options, but everything served there was very good. The staff made us feel like home. They were very friendly. Have to say staying here was very worth of the money.

I usually don’t write reviews for hotels, but this experience truly deserves recognition. Yannick went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, he was exceptionally warm, kind, and friendly—so much so that it felt like he already knew us. His hospitality made us feel instantly at home. What stood out most was his patience and attentiveness. I had many questions throughout our stay, and he always responded with a smile and clear, thoughtful explanations. His professionalism and kindness made a real difference. I also want to mention how welcoming the owner was. I had previously stayed here last year without my mother, and the staff were already very friendly and accommodating. However, during this recent visit—with my mother, who wears a hijab—I was genuinely touched to find that they were even more welcoming and respectful. I had some initial concerns that we might feel out of place, but instead, we were treated with the utmost kindness and warmth. It was a beautiful and reassuring experience that made us feel truly seen and respected. I’m very grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a welcoming and thoughtful environment.

Personnel were extremely welcoming and professional throughout the stay. Breakfast and Dinner were much appreciated! Dinner carte aligned with fine dining! Afternoon cake is a great idea to welcome back guests after their daily outing! Superior room cleanliness perfect.

The Grandhotel Giessbach is a historic house from 1874 and enjoys a secluded position on a hill above Lake Brienz amid a 22-hectare park. The few days we spent at Grandhotel Giessbach were truly like a dream. The hotel’s stunning natural scenery, historical architecture, and peaceful atmosphere captivated us from the very first moment. Everything was thoughtfully planned and flawless. However, one of the most important details that made our stay so special was meeting Kris Jungo, who works at the Front Office. Kris was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. He made us feel right at home. He patiently answered all our questions and enhanced our vacation with his recommendations, making it much more enjoyable. Kris’s professionalism and warmth were a wonderful reflection of Grandhotel Giessbach’s quality. Staying at this hotel is not only a peaceful getaway but also an opportunity to meet wonderful people. Rodinný Hotel Alpenrose byl postaven v roce 1881 a je nejstarším hotelem ve Wengenu, kam lze dojet pouze vlakem, a nabízí kompletně zrekonstruované pokoje v tradičním alpském stylu a bezplatné Wi-Fi. Shuttle service for train station upon arrival and when going out in the mornings. Convenient base for skiing. Friendly staff, clean and cozy place. Wonderful view. Breakfast and dinner had good variety, huge selection of cheeses, able to cater to certain dietary requests. Heating rack in bathroom was very useful. Comfortable bed and comforter. Room was a little small however, so we could not lay out our luggage.
