The breakfast buffet has an excellent variety of regional meats, eggs, fruits, and breads. It’s only a short walk to the train station. They also offered the Ticino Card, which made access to public transportation easy! The hotel is family run. Nikoli was very helpful with information about the area. Would definitely stay here again!

The Romantik Hotel Castello Seeschloss is located on the lake-side promenade of Ascona, 300 metres from the centre. It offers historic-style rooms and free internet access. Absolutely perfect. If you want to feel welcomed and relaxed- that’s the place. The receptionist was really nice, the room was clean and comfortable. The pool, the garden, the restaurant all perfect. I highly recommend.

Hotel Tamaro is gevestigd in een patriciërswoning uit de 18de eeuw. Het ligt aan de oevers van het Lago Maggiore in het centrum van Ascona. Ontbijt vanop de rooftop bar is top, prachtig zicht. Vriendelijke gastvrije uitbaters.

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. The location of the Hotel and hostel is excellent. It is just 500 meters or less walking distance from the Lugano Main train station. From Platform No. 3 or 4, start walking in the backward direction, and anyone can see the hotel. The hotel surroundings with greenery were one of the best things I liked most. It has a big common room for dinner, tea time or even for working on your laptop. It is also a perfect place to work from anywhere. All the staff were helpful and made me feel at home away from home. I couldn't ask for anything better than this. I ultimately extended my stay as it was too good to leave early.
