The family room was quite big for 4 people. The living area fits one sofa bed and one foldable bed. There are sliding door to separate the bedroom and living area totally which was ideal. Bathroom and toilet are large and separated. The food and service in the restaurant was fantastic, we stayed on Christmas Day had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and both were tasty! The breakfast buffet was great and extensive! Very happy with the location too, just at the bottom of the funicular.

Villa Principe Leopoldo can be found amid a large park above Lugano, offering panoramic views of Lake Lugano and the mountains, and featuring leisure, sport and wellness facilities, as well as... We absolutely loved our stay! Gorgeous views, wonderful staff, and the food was amazing. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were large. We had a wonderful time.

Right on the shore of Lake Lugano, this family-run 4-star hotel offers restaurants, free WiFi, and a south-facing outdoor pool with direct lake access. The centre of Lugano is a 10-minute walk away. Great hotel, gorgeous views from our room, lovely staff, great pool and terrific location. We have stayed once before and we would love to stay again!

Once a patrician residence built in the 18th century, the Hotel Tamaro can be found right on the banks of Lake Maggiore in the centre of Ascona. Exceptional views straight to Lago Maggiore. Our room was spacious and comfy and the balcony big enough to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. The staff very friendly and the breakfast very rich and delicious. Also here you could choose to eat inside or outside, on the lake shore, absolutely amazing! It is 5 min walk from the bus stop and in the city centre so walking distance to practically everything. The port is not even 50 m away. Would recommend it!

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. Everything is well organaized, clean. All services, restrictions were well explained in small leaflet they gave me at reception. Receptionists who attended me were all kind and helped me to find a solution, how to get the train etc. The response to my email inquiries prior to my stay was also very quick. It was worth adding a breakfast! What I wasn't expected was "ticino ticket app" that I was given free transport for the duration of my stay. People say that prices are high in Switzerland, but if the service is this good, it is worth it.

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. The old building itself, its history and decor made it my favorite immediately. The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful too.

Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. Beautiful, clean house with nice staff.
