We loved the area, the Cortijo, the peacefulness and Paco the owner. We couldn't believe our luck finding this place. We Stopoed for one night on our Gijon to Cadiz cycle and ended up staying for 3. Absolutely amazing place with truly genuine hospitality. We could have stayed much longer and we really hope to return and enjoy more of Extremadura , our favouritere region on our cycle tour.The cycling around here is fantastic .. The horse and cart ride was so much fun and the walks beside the pistachio trees is beautiful.You can also walk to Llerena in under one hour.. We really enjoyed being around the pool and relaxing in wonderful surroundings.. We also loved Paco's passion for his Pistachio crops.. Dont miss this beautiful Place.

Hotel Mérida Palace is 200 metres from the Roman Temple of Diana. This venue is located right next to the main plaza and everything is reachable within a few minutes. It has a very luxurious lobby and spacious room, which reminds me of some old palace. The staff members are very kind and attentive. I also liked the swimming pool on the rooftop.
