Hôtel & Spa Le Bouclier D'or is located in the historic La Petite France district in a 16th Century building, a 5-minute walk from Strasbourg Cathedral. This perfect little haven in the Petite France area of Strasbourg was an ideal base to explore this beautiful historic city. This renovated old building has everything - character, history, vintage furniture and modern facilities. We visited Strasbourg during the Christmas Market and while it was only a few minutes walk to the major market squares and the local restaurants, the immediate vicinity was pretty quiet - almost no vehicle traffic and just a few pedestrians, who mostly seemed to be taking their kids to the school opposite. We only saw one staff member (I’m sure there must be others) but he was very welcoming and informative, giving us good tips on where to go. We loved our room, which was very nicely furnished, but also had plenty of power points, a device charger on the desk and the most fantastic shower.

Romantic, comfortable and clean in the center of the lovely city. Despite being in the center, very quiet at night. Gabrielle did everything to make us feel welcome!

Built in 1920, Villa Elyane is located in the centre of Colmar, just 300 metres from the Colmar Train Station. Guests can enjoy free bike rentals and can relax in the sauna on site. A beautiful property. Great location, wonderful host, excellent breakfast with good quality produce and good choice on offer. Really comfortable bed. The villa Elyane is a real gem and would recommend it to anyone visiting Colmar.

This B&B is set in a half-timbered farmhouse from the 18th century in the Alsatian village of Zimmersheim. It offers a sauna and a garden with a swimming pool and a sun terrace. Beautifully restored 17th century barn, filled with antiques & the owner’s art in a small tranquil village. Lovely room with really comfortable bed and bathroom with great shower, with the added bonus of a small balcony. Great place to re-charge after a day’s travelling or as a base to explore the area.

Smiling people. Very clean. Excellent interior design both in the room and the rest places in the hotel.

This chateau dating back from the 16th century, is surrounded by a park and located 40 km southwest of Strasbourg. It offers spacious individually decorated suites and a terrace. The room included bedroom, bathroom and living room. It was so spacious! The bathroom had both bath and shower. Everything was clean. The location itself is gorgeous: the building is furnished and decorated in a traditional way, it is very quiet and surrounded by a huge garden, and parking area is big. The owners were very nice and welcoming. All the products they serve are home-made or anyway supplied by local producers. Breakfast is very good, and I appreciated the morning ambiance with the fire in the fireplace.
