Great stay all around. Emmanuel, our host, was very welcoming and gracious. My grandfather and I went for the Chapel designed by Le Corbusier. Emmanuel helped us out by driving us up the hill in a little Fiat which was very helpful given my grandpa has trouble walking. the architecture was really nice, and the breakfast was lovely. Emmanuel told us that Le Corbusier had even dined in the house for dinner twice while building the church. Altogether a great stay.

Hôtel Restaurant Spa Le Sauvage, formerly the Clarisses Monestary, is located in the historic district of Besançon, 500 metres from the citadel's ancient walls. A very nice historic place, very nicely kept in the original state with all modern facilities. We really felt relaxed in this pleasant hotel and in our room, with very good beds, a nice balcony, great breakfast and super service.

Les Capucins is centrally located in a former brewery, just 500 metres from the Belfort Train Station. Super friendly staff (put our bicycles in their private garage to make sure they were safe) new and clean rooms and an amazing breakfast: freshly squeezed orange juice, home made granola, super nice fresh fruit salad, home made cakes, different breads, home made jam, local cheeses. I have had breakfasts in MUCH more expensive hotels that were not half as nice. The location of the hotel is very central. And finally: you can't beat the price!

Set in the heart of the Jura vineyards, Hôtel Auberge de Chavannes is located in Chavanne and provides soundproofed accommodations. You can relax on the furnished terrace, by the garden. Really welcoming and lovely stay. We were very late due to massive delays to our eurotunnel crossing and the hotel were brilliant. Shame we missed out on dinner. The menu looks amazing.

La Chaumiere is located in Dole, between Dijon and Besançon in eastern France. It offers en suite accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a Michelin-starred restaurant. very friendly staff, great place, big and clean rooms, great breakfast with all-local products, we didn't have time to eat in the highly recommended restaurant :(
