Set in the heart of Orvieto in a historic building, La Magnolia is just 100 metres from the cathedral. It offers free bike rental and air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Unbelievably beautiful, kind staff. Breakfast came with the reservation. Right in center of town, but windows faced away from foot traffic so balcony and rooms were very quiet.

Hotel Duomo is just 15 steps up the stone stairway from Orvieto's majestic Gothic Cathedral. All rooms feature air conditioning, an LCD TV with DVD player, and a small table with 2 chairs. The staff were outstanding. The hotel was excellent.

The room was beautiful, blending an ancient construction (very deep window wells and stone walls in the breakfast room) with all the modern conveniences. The bed was the most comfortable we slept in during our two weeks in Italy. The breakfast was delicious, with a choice of main dishes that were prepared on the spot and sweet baked goods, espresso and juices. The homemade crostata was incredible.

Just a 5-minute walk from the historic centre of Foligno and set in a historic building, Relais Metelli is 200 metres from Foligno Train Station. This hotel is a real gem. It’s beautifully presented, the location is perfect, just a few minutes from the bus drop off point, the train station and the town. It’s the perfect location to explore the region. The staff are exceptional and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We arrived at 9.00am and had emailed to ask if we could drop off our luggage. When we arrived we were offered coffee and breakfast which was amazing!!! We spent four nights and honestly we couldn’t have been happier.
