Situated in the south-eastern area of Hiroshima, Hotel Cycle offers a simple yet stylish accommodation with free WiFi access in all areas. The JR Onomichi Station is just a 5-minute walk away. Awesome hotel that has bike specific facilities and knows a lot about the Shimanami Kaido. They made shipping my bag super easy and took care of all the details. Really close to the bike rental shop to make an early start easy.

Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). We stayed at a separate room which is not inside the main building. The room was spacious and had a private shower and bathroom. The main building of the guest house is very cosy and welcoming and the free dinner and breakfast are a great bonus. The washing machine and dryer were very fast and efficient.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. All good, Onsen, bedroom shower. The japanese dinner and breakfast was included. All very fresh, but too many oysters for me😁. Great place to stay on the island for one night but be aware that all is shut on the island once it gets dark. They collected our luggage on the first day so we could tour the town and climb Mt Misen. Then we got an early free shuttle to get the ferry in the morning. All great.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Very polite and helpful staff and amazing facilities with the best room view!
