Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Our traditional tatami room was super cute! The staff were very friendly, and the public spa was great too. We also loved the small sweet surprise waiting for us.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Everything. This property was extraordinary from the moment we arrived with the exceptional staff service, a magnificent room and excellent food in both restaurants located within the property.

And the room was spacious and cozy. It was nice to hear the insects outside while sleeping. I also had a cat friend visit me on the little balcony at night.

Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. We had an amazing stay here. The location was quiet and well located. Although the hotel is a bit older, it’s extremely well-maintained and full of charm. Our room was beautiful, and the futon beds were much more comfortable than expected. We also loved the comfy yukatas provided. The public bath/onsen was small, but we had it all to ourselves when we went, which made for a peaceful experience. The included dinner and breakfast were fantastic! We requested a vegetarian meal for one of us before arriving, and it was no problem at all - the vegetarian menu was just as varied and delicious as the standard one. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. After check-out, we were able to leave our luggage at the reception for a few hours. When we picked it up, they even offered us a free taxi ride to the ferry terminal.
