A 3-minute walk from Yudanaka Station, Hotel Tsubakino features indoor and outdoor hot spring baths with a vista of snowy mountain peaks. The hotel offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Best hotel in our Japan trip! Room was enormous and beautiful. The onsen was very nice and they allow tattoos, which is a great plus! You can even book one space privately. The breakfast is traditional Japanese and it is so yummy. I cannot eat fish, and they accommodated my food request (you need to inform them in advance). I 100% recommend it and I would stay here again.

Karuizawa Prince Hotel boasts 3 dining options, a large-scale shopping mall with 240 shops, hot-spring・open-air baths and a steam sauna facility, various golf courses and on-site ski slopes. Reception staff and supervisor went all way out to help when I needed to go Hospital.

Felt like the price quality ratio was quite good, considering the comfortable beds, great onsen with outside bath with no roof, hence able to stay in the onsen and just look at the stars , quiet location in the mountains. We went by car and parked for free, but I understand they have some shuttle buses for one of the nakasendo posttowns.
