Hotel Tsubakino ligt op 3 minuten lopen van het station Yudanaka en beschikt over warmwaterbronnen binnen en buiten met uitzicht op besneeuwde bergtoppen. It was a great, quality hotel with wonderful little extras like the rooftop onsen and sake bar. The breakfasts were exceptional- so many fantastic things to try, and delivered with such care. The deluxe family room was very spacious for a family of five.

Situated within a private forest and boasting outdoor hot springs and award-winning cuisine, Sierra Resort Hakuba is a 10-minute drive from JR Hakuba Train Station. Facility was lovely and extremely enjoyable. Loved the lounge with refreshments.

Het Tokonamiso ligt in een bos en biedt een toevluchtsoord in de natuur met kamers in Japanse stijl, barbecuefaciliteiten en gratis WiFi in de lobby. This place is amazing. The other reviews are a bit harsh- don’t go here if you’re expecting to stay in a luxurious hotel room with an all inclusive vibe- that is clearly not what this hotel advertises. They provide a traditional Japanese room to sleep in, a separate toilet, all of which are very clean and well maintained. They have tea and coffee facilities, a fridge and a microwave and they VERY clearly tell guests multiple times before staying that they do NOT provide food and that there is none there. If you choose to ignore this then that’s on you!! If you want a hotel with food then go somewhere else! It’s honestly not much hassle to get some food and bring it to the hotel room, given the availability of food in Japan. Come prepared and you’ll have the best stay because you’ll ultimately spend most of your time in the onsen at the neighbouring hotel- which is absolutely incredible. The best onsen I’ve been to in the whole of Japan. The views, the relaxing nature around you, the tranquility. It is 100% worth a visit and I would definitely return.

Izumiya Zenbe is een historische accommodatie in Japanse stijl met een chique ambiance. Het is gevestigd in 1876 en beschikt over verschillende warmwaterbronnen, zowel binnen als buiten. Traditioneel japans verblijf, lekker eten vriendelijk personeel. Onsen was ook zeer aangenaam.

Senshinkan Matsuya ligt in het centrum van Shibu Onsen, waar tal van warmwaterbronnen te vinden zijn.
