Often, the value of actual hospitality is underrated in the hospitality industry, and it's overshadowed by fancy facilities and frills. Not at Gran Hotel, where the staff treats you like their own guest. They are warm and will go out of their way to help you out. Oh, and the hotel itself is a heritage site with exceptional facilities & a location to kill for! Absolute, must visit. If I am ever in Mexico City again, I am staying at Gran for sure.

On the 1st floor, there is a gym and a sauna, which I had a chance to try. It’s good.

We stayed here for 10 days and found that it was a great base to explore Mexico City from. The staff was friendly and we appreciated the many breakfast options. We also loved the design of the room.

The entire place is like a little oasis with beautiful plants & a serene setting. The rooms were large and tastefully done. Would highly recommend.

Maria del Alma is a 85-year-old historic colonial building with attractive gardens and terraces. It offers a shared lounge and dining area. The snack bar serves typical local dishes, including tamales. Beautiful gardens, spacious and comfortable rooms, a gracious and very helpful host. Breakfasts were delicious. Excellent location, safe to walk everywhere.
