Oh, and the hotel itself is a heritage site with exceptional facilities & a location to kill for! Absolute, must visit. If I am ever in Mexico City again, I am staying at Gran for sure.

It is down to earth and charming. Hector was welcoming along with all the staff. The food was wonderfully homemade. I think some rooms are maybe nondescript/more modern, with others of the original style and beautiful. We had Room 8 - beautiful. Our son had #1 - modern but perfect for him.
