Set in Playa del Carmen and with Playacar Beach reachable within 500 metres, Che Suites Playa offers a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Everything. Nice room, confortable bed, easy check in, nice swimming pool, close to everything but very calm.

This secluded guest house is located outside the village of Tulum, only a short cab ride of the beach. The property is surrounded by tropical gardens. The room was decorated to perfection with lots of charm and character, and plenty of space to spread out. My son loved swinging on the hammock in the middle of the room. The pool was just a few steps from our room and a beautiful little oasis surrounded by flowering trees. Breakfast was delicious and included local honey.

This hacienda-style hotel is located on Playa del Carmen's Fifth Avenue, one block from the beach. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in every guest room. This was my 4th visit to Hotel Lunata in Playa del Carmen since 2002. On the surface, very little has changed over the years. In this case, that is a very good thing! Of course there has been some modernization in that time, such as very good WiFi for each room, however the warm and inviting room design, the friendly staff and the overall impression the hotel leaves have all not changed. We again had a very pleasant visit and were sad to leave. The breakfast is very basic with some cereals, tea, coffee and toast. It’s enough to get you going into the day, but it’s not a feast and is not the main focus of this boutique hotel. It is self-service in the Lunata natural garden, just like it was in 2002. We brought some fruits from the market and the staff offered to peel and cut the fruit for us. Fantastic service.

Located on the coast of Xcalacoco Beach 10 minutes outside of Playa del Carmen, this luxury resort and spa situated in the tropical rainforest features a restaurant. While planning a winter escape, I focused more on the type of resort rather than location or beach. I wanted to feel pampered, zen and with nature. I had stayed at Viceroy hotels in the US before and always had a good experience, so I was happy to find this one with only 40 or so rooms and the type of setting I was seeking. The care the staff took was unparalleled to any other experience we’ve had. They looked after us, brought us treats, knew our preferences and were always so accommodating. The massage was the best we ever experienced. The vibe of the common areas is low key; no loud music or obnoxious behavior, the food was excellent. The suites are so different from your average resort, the bed was huge and comfortable, each room has an outdoor shower and plunge pool. The rain head showers were a delight with excellent pressure. I can’t say enough about this wonderful place (obviously). If you’re seeking an out-of-the-ordinary adult experience to relax and be pampered, this is the place.

We loved our beautiful ocean front room, the view and location were perfect. Also liked no TV's or phone in the room. The staff here was so friendly and welcoming. They were attentive and responsive to all our needs. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's a little on the quiet side but perfectly seated in the heart of all the action, there are many restaurants and beach clubs in walking distance. The beach is beautiful and flat in frontand the staff keeps it clean. Truly, the experience was wonderful and we can't thank the staff enough. Every. Single. One. Of. Them!

Attractively situated in the centre of Tulum, XscapeTulum features air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. This 4-star hotel offers a shared lounge and room service. Massive room with a lovely little kitchen and overlooking a beautiful pool. Staff were really helpful at check in and bicycles could be rented.

Featuring Mexican-style décor, Hotel Casa Colibri is a sea-front boutique hotel located in the heart of Playa del Carmen. Colibri beach oli yksi parhaista majoituksista Meksikon matkamme aikana. Huoneet olivat kauniita, tunnelmallisia ja siistejä. Hotellin beach club oli todella mukava, siellä oli hyvä ruoka- ja juomatarjonta ja vierailimme siellä usein. Tästä vierailusta jäi hyvät muistot!

The property’s location is superb! Right on the beach and just few meters away from 5th Avenue with all restaurants. Staff were super nice and at night there is always a guard at the reception. The breakfast was a la carte, and was very delicious! Wish there was a pool as for few days the sea wasnt accessible due to extreme algae.
