The 4-star Aqua Natura Madeira offers elegant rooms with Atlantic Ocean views in the fishing village of Porto Moniz, 45 km north of Funchal city centre. It offers a sauna on site. Even in bad weather you can still relax with a view of the sea :) Comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. Parking at the hotel. The location is also good for trips to nearby levadas by car. We also ordered a massage (standard quality) and ate at a Japanese restaurant (longer wait, but good food). Wifi without problems.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. We had an excellent stay at the apartment – everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to each day.

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. The location of the hotel was fabulous brilliant views of the sea and the staff were so friendly and very helpful when we had to stay an extra night as our plane home was cancelled! The hotel also provided a very good complimentary mini bus service to the start and finish of various walks and to Funchal and to the airport. Thoroughly recommend the hotel and place!

With 400 meters of private sea front, the 5-star property offers spacious rooms all with balcony and views of the Atlantic and the Deserted Islands. The property was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Loved the balcony and view. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I had a pleasant stay at Golden Residence Hotel. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the food was tasty with a good variety. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The hotel offers great views of the surrounding area, and I enjoyed relaxing by the small but cozy pool. Overall, the facilities and services were good, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay in Madeira.

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. Where do I start? Amazing property and lovely stuff. The garden is so nice, the room is spacious and the view is amazing. Having the breakfast outside on the small terrace was outstanding. The breakfast itself was great, however, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff who were very kind. Location is also very good, a nice 10-15 min walk into centre of town. Definitely one of the best places I have ever stayed! After staying here, I will consider long and hard giving another place a 10 :-)

Beautiful traditional hotel very close to the old town and all its restaurants. A real Madeira experience that one can't get at all the characterless modern hotels. Superb facilities with two lovely pools and the ability to swim in the sea. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet at night - a real oasis- but within easy walking distance nightlife. A perfect place to stay.

The location is breathtaking, and all the shared facilities are the best: the pull, the Jacuzzies, all the sitting spots, it seems that every inch in this place got attention in design. The rooms are big and comfy. We stayed in a room with a direct spot to the sunset and it was beautiful. The breakfast is very good, but above all the host is the nicest man. He take care for everythink that we asked and gave us his number in the days he weren’t there to tell him if something is wrong. This was the perfect place!
