Located within Guimarães city wall, in a manor house from the 18th century, Casa do Juncal combines history with modern comfort and elegance. this property is nicer than a 3 star hotel! the rooms are very nice and spacious! the garden is so pretty and pleasant! the breakfast was better than most 4+ star hotels where we have stayed! staff was very accommodating! what a wonderful surprise! Guimaraes is a gem - what a beautiful town with wonderful restaurants (restaurants recommended by hotel were outstanding!)

Situated in the historic centre of Ponte de Lima, this guesthouse offers individually decorated rooms with a modern bathroom. Guests can relax in the common living room or cook in the shared kitchen. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Beautiful windows with a peaceful view of the historic downtown. Quiet location, very close to the river. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was very filling. This was one of my favorite stops along the Camino.
