Hidden away from the island's busier area and offering a private beach, Larissa Samed resort features comfortable rooms, a garden and free WiFi access. Great location, only 3 min from main beach. Good snorkeling just of the little beach by the hotel (only morning sun). Lots of corals, but not great visibility. If you like snorkeling, go when tide is low. Really quiet and nice view, especially if you’re in one of the cabins closer to the sea (we were in number 10, but ask for number 8 if you want the cabin closest to the sea with the nicest view. Number 1 and 2 (I think it was) are attached).

Boasting an outdoor pool and a lively pool bar, Stellars Samed Resort is set amidst tropical landscapes in Ko Samed. It is about 10 minutes walk from Haad Sai Kaew and 20 minutes from Silver Sand Pub.... The staff was amazing and friendly. Genuinely liked their job. Also, it’s family owned and very authentic hospitality. The location was nice too. It was within 5 minutes walking to beach and close to downtown area. The breakfast was very good and typical Thai traditional.

Situated in Ban Phe, 50 metres from Mae Ram Phueng Beach, Makmai Villa - Rayong features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. The staff (I believe it was the lady who owns the hotel) was super accomodating when I extended my stay -on the day - (twice) to keep the same room! The room was beautifully clean, light and airy with effective air conditioning, a great view from the balcony, and comfortable. I will definitely be returning because Maerumpung beach is beautiful (didn't think I'd EVER see bio phosphorescent plankton!!!!), Ban Phe has some incredible small food outlets, Thai people are amazing, and the Makmai Villa does everything you want.. with a smile! Also, Koh Samed is just a quick boat trip from here. Thank you *Makmai for being a great base and a fantastic welcome to Thailand! 🙏🏼❤️
