「This was a great place to stay! It was located about 30 mins walk from Santana and 1.5 hrs bus ride from Funchal. Staff were friendly and helpful, the homemade food for breakfast and dinner was lovely. They also offered a good packed lunch for €6 to take out with you. I was there as a cheap last minute getaway and wanted somewhere peaceful for which it was great. Most people staying there were hikers for whom it seemed perfect. The surrounding area was beautiful. I'd definitely stay here again.」

「Everything! The Apartment is located quite perfect - you got a big supermarket in walking distance, same with the bus station. The most important and interessting walks and sightseeing points are nearby by bus, taxi and foot. The apartment is quite big with a well-equipped kitchen, a washing machine, hair dryer and beautiful oven. Its decorated with much love - it was quite easy to fell in love with this place. After one night we felt like coming home. The most pleasant point of the apartment was the owner - Maria is a very helpful and pretty nice person, who offers you every help you need to have an unforgettable stay at her place. The breakfast she made every day for us was delicious, she organized a taxi for us and got us to the bus by car when we had to leave. Everything was perfect and we can recommend this place to stay for sure!」

「Where to start! Gorgeous house with lots of space (2 double bedrooms and 1 mezzanine bedroom with 3 double beds, kitchen, two living rooms, patio and terrace, outdoor BBQ and dining space) and beautiful views of the ocean. The beach is a 1 minute walk away - although be wary of swimming, the Atlantic is ferocious on the northern coast and the stony shore is very unforgiving! Tania is lovely and provided delicious welcome gifts of cake, wine and fruit from her garden. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the patio, with a lovely view of the garden and the ocean, as we enjoyed a drink or read a good book. It was very quiet, peaceful and secluded (it is at the end of the road, so there is no through traffic). Really we had a lovely time and plan to return - hopefully bringing friends or family with us next time. I think the house could comfortably accommodate 6 people, although there are enough beds for 10! Thank you Tania!」
