Each individual was sincerely helpful. We could not have been more pleased. It is quite possible that the Grand Park's restaurant is the best in town. We loved the location for the Christmas Eve parades and for the walk on Star Street to Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity.”

We arrive at 3 a.m. and yet there was someone to meet us, get us checked in and helped get our luggage to our room! The breakfast was wonderful, service was attentive! There was always someone present to answer questions if we needed. There is an attached wine tasting room which we did not take advantage of, but there is a microbrewery (the only one in Israel/Palestine) affiliated with the hotel nearby (5 minutes by walking) which we did and had an excellent tour there by the owner/brew master! Not to be missed!”

The area around is beautiful and very peaceful and very close to some sites. It's a 20-30 minute walk to the church of nativity but Bethlehem is pretty small so that walk is enjoyable. I highly recommend this place :)”

The owners go out of their way to accommodate your needs and guide and help you. You feel welcomed and cared for. It was so reassuring as it was our first time in Bethlehem, we arrived very late on Christmas Eve with so many people arriving and so much going on. But the Alexander family organized everything, had someone picking us up at Tel Aviv airport and were waiting for us when we arrived in Bethlehem. We are so grateful for our wonderful stay and for all that we were able to see and do because of them. You will feel at home at the Alexander Hotel in Bethlehem.”

“We live in London and have just returned from spending four nights (6th to 9th March 2016) at the Dar Sitti Aziza Hotel in Bethlehem. We actually arrived two hours before the official booking time and were hoping to just leave our luggage and return later. Nabil Rishmawi, the general manager, told us that our room was all ready for us and made us welcome to start our stay immediately. Dar Sitti Aziza is a 400 year old building that has been tastefully and professionally modernised and yet the rooms retain their ancient charm and character. There is less than a dozen rooms so you are not in an over commercialised environment. We were treated as ‘one of the family’ and could come and go as much as we wanted. Nabil was so thoughtful and kind in so many ways making sure that our every need was met. Two things we especially appreciated were that he ordered a taxi for us from a driver he knew, so we could trust, and also had arrangements with two restaurants in Manger Square to give his guests a 10% discount. Officially I suppose you are there for ‘bed and breakfast’ but you can use the place as if it were your home. Speaking of breakfast, don’t expect that to be over in fifteen or twenty minutes. You need to allow up to an hour to relish the wonderful Palestinian homemade food. The egg dish is the most delicious and exceptional dish imaginable. A secret recipe prepared by Nabil’s mother to be enjoyed and never forgotten. We were not surprised when Nabil told us that people return again to this place, just 5 minutes from Manger Square but down a quiet path and is so peaceful and restful when you are there. We certainly plan to be among those returnees. We feel almost as though we have left part of us over there. Mike and John.”
