“Our bungalow was facing the sea with a huge balcony. The bungalow was nicely decorated, with a lot of local, really beautiful handicraft matching perfectly together. We always had the sea breeze coming into our room through the huge windows so it did not get too hot (in case: you also have a fan). The bed and also the bathroom are really beautiful and also very comfortable. It seemed that they just thought of everything which makes life easier (spaces for towels, coconuts in the shower where you can put your shampoo etc). We got our own car, but would not have needed it there as the lodge offers a lot of tours around the island to reasonable prices. Food was really delicious. We could have stayed there forever.”

“During my period in the country I spent a night on Ihleu das Rolas and several nights in Principe, but it always felt good coming back to this place although it's much cheaper than the other places I stayed. Not to brag, but after travelling to almost 140 countries this is the second time I give a full score on a rating. I mention the amount of countries to point out that I don't easily give full score. The rooms were very nice, much better than expected. Being new, bright and with modern furniture it's very appealing despite being simple. The pool is excellent, not a boring square one, and there is a nice bar area next to it. If you prefer to sit indoor the breakfast/dinner room is always airconditioned if it's too hot for you outside. The breakfast is continental, but a very tasty one. With a short walk to the centre it's a great spot, and you have supermarkets in both directions. Add airport transfer and an extremely helpful Vitor to all of this, and I can't point to much more to ask for. I had a great time in this place!”

“Let me start by saying that this was one of our best vacations to date. The location of the property with easy access to the Banana Beach and the Tropical waterfalls, the staff who were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make things just right and the facilities which make this experience quite unique - everything was just perfect! Banana beach is within the property and there is a nice bar, snorkelling equipment room and some beach huts there to relax for a while! They even sent us a picnic basket from the kitchen down on our first day and planned lunch for all the guests at the beach on one of the days with freshly grilled food bought from the fisherman's village right next door! Then there are the quad bikes! They have quite a few quad bikes which the guests can use to see the vast property or take to explore the island with one of the guides. This was clearly one of the highlights of our trip - taking the quads into the middle of the rainforest where there are no roads to reach one of the most beautiful waterfalls!! Then another day, we used them to explore the smallest city in the world - Santo Antonio and the other side of the island with our man - Ramos! And there was still a lot left to do if we had more days! The resort itself is great with Jacques managing his team very well and making sure the guests are well taken care of! We had excellent food - my wife is a vegetarian and they were quite careful to ensure her meals were really good - thanks to Chef Jose! And finally there is a cinema in the resort with actual cinema chairs and a big projector screen with surround sound and pop corn from the kitchen! And Jacques was kind enough to loan some movies from his own collection for us to enjoy on a few nights. I would like to thank Sra. Francesca, Chefe Amilcar, Jose, Varu, Ramos, Ana, Manuel, Miles and Jacques and the rest of the team for making our stay very special!”
