lmmaculate with lovely decor. Brilliant reception although we arrived almost late having booked on line two hours earlier.

As mentioned in other reviews, the staff at reception is really lovely and go out of their way to be helpful and make you feel welcome. I stayed in a single room (Tom) and it was very peaceful. Since it was cold outside I'd asked for an extra blanket and was brought up a second duvet. But once the heating was in full the room was cosy and warm anyway. Lovely decor and comforatable (boat shaped) bed. Yes the pillow is a bit soft, then again so are those in expensive hotels quite often. I used my coat to support reading in bed. The way the room key operates the elevator to specific floors, and also opens the stairwell doors, makes for a safe environment. Depending on the other guest's behaviour of course, but the associated bar nextdoor serves as backup during the times reception isn't staffed. Felt more secure than in self-check in hotels. All in all a cosy, clean and comfortable place to stay, for a great price (in November) in a really nice part of Cologne. Would gladly come again.

Extremely superior! The owner of the house is extremely kind. He takes the initiative to dry and fold clothes for customers. He asks for warmth and other services that need help. He feels like he is at home. It is a sincere and touching service. The layout of the house is large enough, the environment is elegant, and the equipment is fully equipped. It was clearly an historical home converted into an hotel! The property was clean, well presented and so close to the city centre! If it wasn’t for the wind I would have probably been able to reach the centre in 15 minutes!

The place was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The popcorn machine added a fun touch and the projector created fun moments to wind down with the whole family. The kitchen came equipped with more than enough dishware and silverware along with a nice coffee maker.
