It was clearly an historical home converted into an hotel! The property was clean, well presented and so close to the city centre! If it wasn’t for the wind I would have probably been able to reach the centre in 15 minutes!

Cathedral & chocolate museum were top 2 attractions for us. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Also, enjoyed walking by the river, the beer , shopping & brief visit to art museum (was very busy, so didn't stay long).

Cologne is a nice area for singles, couples or families.

Cologne is a nice area for singles, couples or families. There is so much to see and do there. The hop on hop off tour bus is great and allows you to hear about the history of the city and see a lot. I highly recommend the chocolate factory tour...it was wonderful! There is a nice Korean Restaurant there, Hankki Köln. Whether walking, taking the tour train or the hop on hop off bus, making your way around the city is easy. There is a lot of shopping, eating, sight seeing and so much more to do!

Not the most physically attractive European city, but many great places to see including, the Cathedral, Basilica of Ursula; Ludvig Museum; Chocolate Museum. Plenty of cafes and excellent places to eat.

The city is easy to navigate.

The city is easy to navigate. Tourism Office is helpful and the Hop-on-Hop-off bus was the best option for me - due to my short stay. Lots of restaurants near the Premier Inn Cologne that is convenient to grab supper. Favourite places: Kolner Dom, Chocolate Museum & Eigelstein Gate, Ebert Square to name a few. Wish I had more time in Cologne.

This is the town of Kolsch (the local beer style).

This is the town of Kolsch (the local beer style). It's really nice to go into a tavern or restaurant and just say, bier and you'll get the Kolsch that they serve. Be sure to visit different breweries and taverns so that you can assess which Kolsch fits your palate. Having the major train station in town, makes it easy to get all over Germany and Europe. Visiting places like Dusseldorf, Bonn, Bruhl, Mosel River is easy with the trains.

It was my second visit to Cologne.

It was my second visit to Cologne. My first visit was very short — only about an hour — but this time I truly enjoyed the city with my son. The food at Casita Mexicana Südstadt was excellent. The magnificent Cologne Cathedral and its surrounding area are especially beautiful. I also highly recommend a circular walking route starting from the cathedral side of Hohenzollern Bridge, famous for its thousands of love locks. Cross the bridge to the other side of the river, then walk along the riverside and return via Deutz Bridge toward the cathedral. It offers a truly wonderful experience.

We had a memorable time in Cologne. The hotel completely met our expectations. The location was excellent and made commuting easy. We upgraded our room to a higher standard for a reasonable price, and it was the right decision, as we enjoyed a stunning view of the entire city from the 10th floor and a spacious room with a large bathroom. Overall, everything was clean and cozy. The breakfast was also quite good. This hotel can definitely be recommended if you are looking for a high standard of service and quality accommodation.

We had 3 great nights in this hotel; it has character, in a top location (very close to a metro stop) and in a lively neighbourhood with a supermarket next door and many restaurants in the area, just walking distance away, which is really nice after a long day of exploring the city centre. The breakfast was good, with a variety of options to choose from. Vegan options too, which we apreciated. Cologne is very vegan friendly anyway, almost all restaurants had many vegan options.
