We enjoyed the beautiful picturesque city with lovely views of river, cathedral, old churches and colourful houses. The train station was within walking distance and so were the shops. There were many restaurants and cafes and the food was delicious!!

Cologne is a great city.
Cologne is a great city. It's really compact, so we were able to walk everywhere and didn't use any public transport. The waterfront is nice with boat trips available. Also plenty of bars and restaurants. We stayed during Euro 2024 and the atmosphere was amazing.

Beautiful, but very busy city in its CBD.
Beautiful, but very busy city in its CBD. The cathedral (Dom) was incredible & a must do.
The 3 arch bridge (sorry, don’t know its proper name) is an easy walk from CBD & a must see for all the “Love locks” covering both sides of the walkways.

A great city for a short break. make sure to take advantage of the Kolsch culture, and spectacular views from the Koln Triangle viewing platform. It's easy to get around on the 24 hour public transport ticket, and view the Cathedral from all angles. Can also recommend the city walking tour, cable car ride over the Rhine, and a relaxing swim at Claudius Therme.

The hotel is old and antiquated.
The hotel is old and antiquated. There is no air conditioning. The hotel rating by booking.com is much higher than it should be. They must pay higher commissions to booking.com to have them upgrade the rating. A 2-star hotel at best and not good value. Would not have stayed there if I had known the features of the hotel.
Great location and great value. Small but very comfy room that did all that I needed. Internet speed was the best experienced in any hotel in Germany, which was a lovely surprise. The Hotel is like Dr Who's Tardis. You walk in a small door and then come to a really nice wood paneled reception and great breakfast area. Very friendly people, super value and super convenient for the Cologne old town and river side.
The hotel is located close enough to the centre of Cologne, a very nice location and close to restaurants and bars. It is only 15 to 20 minutes walk into the centre.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean and provide everything you are likely to need, including a decent coffee (pod) machine. The breakfast are possibly the best I have ever had in a hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Absolutely AMAZING hotel room!!! For the price, it was EXCEPTIONAL!! Definitely 4* LUXURY!! My friend and I were on a little week-long trip around France and Germany with our two dogs. This was, by far, the best room of the trip!! Many thanks to the wonderful evening concierge who made us feel soooo welcome!!
I travel to Cologne once a year, for the ISM fair, since 2010, and this is the best hotel I stayed in. Very clean, conveniently located 400m to the central station, with very friendly staff and a scrumptious breakfast. Totally recommended!
Modern immaculate hotel, staff spoke English. Location is at the heart of Cologne city centre the Christmas markets, bars restaurants and the extensive shopping centre.
