Very friendly and helpful welcome from the colleague at reception. We were early by a few hours due to our flights and the colleague tried to get us in early to our room. Unfortunately it wasn't ready but we were able to leave our bags whilst we went out until we could check in. We got a free upgrade as well which was very kind and unexpected so overall a lovely stay!

Everything was organized and clean, and the hotel was lovely decorated. It's just across the street from one of the main train stations and has cafes and supermarkets nearby. There's always someone at the reception if you need anything.

Great location a bit spooky of a walk in the dead of night if you take the bus (line S6) from the Lanxess Arena but damn the drive to it is easy and so accessible. Surprised how close it is to a lot of areas like the small shopping mall up North and groceries down South. Sadly I couldn't visit the Japanese garden around the corner. All the more reason to go back. Ooh and the espresso machine was a great addition, brought my own mini frother for some milk tea and the cups and biscuits provided are a neat combo

Excellent location. Right in the city center, within walking distance of the cathedral and close to the Rhine River. There is a wide range of public transportation options right next to the hotel. The Lanxess Arena is just two tram stops away. At the same time, the hotel is quiet and peaceful. The room was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are exceptionally cozy, it feels like visiting a friend. Also the location is great, Very close to a main train station. I was visiting for the Twice concert at Lanxess Arena and it was a 5min walk. Close to the city center.

Hotel Ilbertz was clean and had an excellent location. The Lanxess Arena was less than a kilometre away on foot, and the cathedral was also within easy walking distance by crossing one of the bridges over the Rhine. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Highly recommended!

We stayed for one night in order to attend a concert at the Lanxess arena. Perfect location, both for the arena and for transport into the city, although you can also walk to the city centre. Good sized room, clean, comfortable and helpful staff.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable bed, easily adjustable temperature in the room and the breakfast was awesome too with vegan options and lots of fresh tasty fruit. It was perfect for a concert in Lanxess Arena.

The staff was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. My partner has food allergies and was helped excellently by the breakfast staff. They even prepared an extra plate of food he could eat. Definitely treat yourself to the breakfast. Also, the beds were comfy and the location is incredible if you are going to the Lanxess Arena. I already recommended the place to two friends. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
