We had a great stay at The Madison! The room and bathroom were among the larger ones we've had in Europe, and there was nice counter space in the bathroom as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms and public spaces were clean. Dinner at Marley's Restaurant was so good the first night that we ate there again the second night (Thai coconut soup, Caesar salad, chicken Singapore, and creme brulee were all delicious). The parking garage was easy to find with decent sized spaces, although some were blocked off due to the concrete breaking up (arriving between 5-6 pm on a Friday, there were multiple spaces available). The location was walkable to every place we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

Beautiful building with history. The room felt spacious because of the ceiling high. The staff were all welcoming and very professional. One the staff (Tamara) heard we were celebrating 18 years as a couple, and made a small gesture as a surprise in our room. This small gesture is what’s separating excellent service from good service.

Overlooking the Außenalster Lake, this classic hotel offers free Wi-Fi, a private cinema, restaurants and a bar. Hamburg Central Station is 1640 feet away.
