We felt like we discovered a hidden gem! Our stay in Gujo was great, the place is very spacious, updated but very authentic, and comfortable. The hospitality and flexibility of the staff was amazing. The location was very convenient for exploring the town.

Located right in front of Yoshida River, Miharaya Ryokan offers Japanese-style accommodations and traditional multi-course meals. The Ryokan is really comfortable to stay and they have a good view to see the river. I really loved Japanese room also.

Really loved it; The room was so cozy and comfortable, big too, which is something for Japan. Their bathroom had a nice hot tub where you can easily take hot baths. The location was fantastic! Underneath the castle, such a beautiful location indeed! And only 10 minute albeit uphill walk to the town of Gujo Hachiman. Their breakfast was amazing, home cooked Miso Soup, vegetable soup and was very filling. There's also free coffee all day long and orange juice & Tea from the afternoons to early evenings. The staff was also very polite, nice and pleasant. Will overall recommend!

It was not open when I was there. Check in was easy, and the facility has everything you need. Free Wi-Fi, laundry cheaper than coin laundry, kitchen, shower, and toiletries to buy or towels to rent. I ended up in a room alone, which was nice. They are doing all they can in a small space in a tight town. I found a parking lot that would take my bike overnight. I wish I could have stayed longer. Perfect lodging in a great town.
