First of all, the room is really good, like no joke. The bamboo outdoor bathtub is amazing, I was so excited when I saw it! The photo does not show how good it is, highly recommended to check it out in person.
The moment you walk in the hotel, it feels like you're back home to relieve all your tension, the traditional layout of the room makes me feel super comfy. Every corner is clean, they do care about the details.
They make your bed when you're eating dinner or walking around in Arimaonsen areas. Smooth transition into sleeping mode.
The TV has smart features so you can watch YouTube or connect your device to play something.
The public onsen is great, definitely worth trying it out at night. It wasn't really crowded and the environment is better than the ones on the street.

The hotel room was different from any hotel we had ever been. Very Japanese typical style. Everything was provided. There was even a massage chair for our private use. In the evenings while we were at dinner, the staff set up the futon beds which were very comfortable to sleep in. Before bed, we ordered Shiatsu massages, which were exceptional. The food was good! Breakfast was definitely typical Japanese style.
The Onsen was amazing. The water felt so healing.

The staff is nice, very polite, friendly and helpful. We had arrived before check in time, she gave us free tickets for the Toys museum to use time in there.
She had introduced about the facilities in this hotel and regulations. For private onsen, we are fall in love with Ginsen that is the best onsen. We can used the Onsen in Goshoboh for free before 8pm but we had already went there before went to Hotel Hanakoyado.

Stunning property with so many little details that made our stay memorable. We changed plans last minute and booked a stay the day before and the staff were extremely accommodating booking us in for the kaiseki dinner and the children’s meals. The meals and private onsen were the highlight for us. The futon beds were very comfortable and the free shuttle bus to the town is very convenient. Would recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

Beautiful hotel tucked in the valley, close to town but far enough away to be peaceful. I’m an American and can only speak a little Japanese, but the staff was great and I had no problem communicating. Went on a few hikes close by and it was great to return and have a hot bath and sauna!

The room is spacious. It is well-designed for modern living in an old traditional Japanese house. Futon is comfortable. Quality of amenities are really good. Location is perfect. The road is quiet at night and early morning before the tourist arrives.
Staffs are nice and accommodating.
