I travelled with my friend and we had a double room facing the garden which was beautiful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved, loved the shower and bathtub. The bath powders provided were a nice touch to have a relaxing bath. The private outdoor onsen was amazing under the stars and very relaxing. We had breakfast and dinner (traditional half-board) included in our stay and it was well worth it. The chef prepared each meal with care. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted so fresh. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. This ryokan was a perfect place to unwind after busy days of travelling and site-seeing.

Nice staff, spacious room and comfortable beds. Laundry machine is included.
The location is very convenient and close to a subway station that can take you as far as Osaka and Nara. Plenty of buses are also close by. Additionally, one traverses the bridge and is in the middle of the shopping area with plenty of good restaurants to boot.
The hotel was perfect for 4 days in Kyoto with lots of exploring during the day.

Very comfortable traditional place. We had a room with a private bath but could also enjoy the public one (also very nice). The staff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was also traditional and very delicious. We enjoyed our stay at the ryokan very much!

Due to my work I have to stay in Hotels often. Marikoji Inn feels more like a home and I could get much better rest. Located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood away from the main tourist attractions, you can recharge after an intense day.
