Great view on the river side. There is a screen door to the balcony so you can get fresh air in the room. It’s always great to have a hot spring tub in your own room. If you are hiking Pojinga the trailhead is close, you can see it from your balcony on the other side of the river. Good restaurants up the hill, I stayed for four nights and was able to get a good meal at a different place each night. Also good lunches. The river is loud, providing some natural white noise to block out the sounds of other guests. To get up there via public transportation was a single bus ride from near Fengyuan Station, no transfers needed (I took the 207).

Beautiful location. Liked the cabin feel to the room but also that it is modernized.

Beautiful location in a small town in the mountains. We took a taxi from Taichung station (about $50 usd, 1.5 hours). Very helpful staff. Great hiking nearby and easily reachable by bus. Maps available at the tourist info station just up the road. Wonderful outside tubs to soak in when we returned. Good breakfast. All rooms on our floor were alike. Small rooms. The bed is small, short and extremely uncomfortable for two people. They need new/better mattresses and there are no bedside lamps or reading lights. With those changes it would be an even better place to stay.

Bright Moon Homestay enjoys a location in Dongshi, 20 miles from Taichung Train Station and 20 miles from Kuangsan SOGO Dept. Store.

Breakfast and dinner was woderful, we all enjoyed. Owners are helpful, and friendly. The most enjoyable activity was the firefly watching at night. Pretty neat!.

The view was spectacular! The facility was a bit run down but clean. The boss and his wife were so friendly, remind me of my dad and mum. The home cooked food was fantastic...reminded me of my high school days. Overall, it was worth the trip, considering we were from Singapore and navigated our way there via public buses....we alight at 12kn bus stop and walked 15 minutes and it almost puncture us. ..luckily we managed to get a few ride from the local to the 名宿。
